So our last shot of the lake before heading inland. We have made the entire Lake Superior Circle Tour. Now our goal is to get back to Moorhead while crossing our paths the least amount possible.
We put in around 5 miles of the same interstate to get out of Duluth before heading NW towards Walker. We took a Northern route on some forest roads (thanks for the dusting Ron, I know, I let you lead) We also did 113 South of Itasca.
This only left the 20 miles or so from Hawley back to Moorhead. That’s a total trip of around 1750 miles with only about 25-30 miles on the same roads.
Call it a good trip.
